“Exeter legend of the jazz scene” Harry Dowell is a saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. Steeped in the jazz tradition, Harry is heavily influenced by post-bop and contemporary jazz, including artists such as John Coltrane, Joe Henderson, Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel. In improvising, he balances melodic creation with ambitious spontaneity.
Since his studies Harry has pursued a career in music and has played across the country, recently coming off a successful tour with Lack of Afro.
Harry will be debuting new compositions with his jazz group, featuring some of the finest mainstays of the Devon jam scene, each accomplished in their own right and bringing their unique voice to the group.
